In a Rotary Vacuum Drier, drying is done in batches while under vacuum. Heat-sensitive materials can be dried at temperatures that are much lower than the boiling points of water and solvents. The amount of solvent or water to be removed, the final moisture content sought, the permitted jacket temperature, etc., all affect how long it takes to dry a material.

The Rotary Vacuum Drier by Sunrise Process Equipments is offered in versions with gross volumes ranging from 100 to 20,000 litres. The capacity of wet material loaded into the dryer is generally confined to 40-45% of gross volume.
